Nuisibles combines the insignificant with technology. Through the portraits of three insects devastating to the vine, Nuisibles demonstrates that what appears to be harmful and insignificant is in fact a technological concentrate that goes far beyond what humans are currently capable of doing.
The portraits were captured using an electronic scanning machine; reappropriating a scientific tool for artistic purposes. Nuisibles questions the idea of photography itself; for although it uses its aesthetic codes, light is not part of the process; and so it asks: till what extent can an image be considered photographic?
