Nuisibles combines the insignificant with technology. It demonstrates through the portrait of three devastating insects that what appears to be harmful and insignificant is in fact a technological concentrate that goes far beyond what man has - so far - demonstrated. The project - developed for the Images Vevey 2019 festival and the Fête des Vignerons 2019 - was carried out using the electronic scanning machine (SEM). In this way, the images re-appropriate a scientific tool for artistic purposes. The images question the idea of photography itself; for although it uses its aesthetic codes, light is not part of the process. To what extent can an image be considered photographic?
